Access to ECHR Transfer via multifactor authentication

Access to the ECHR Transfer application is protected by multifactor authentication, which utilizes your mobile device to verify your identity. You can find more information on multifactor authentication here.

No access to a mobile device?

As the ECHR Transfer application handles sensitive information, access is strictly limited to users who have successfully configured multifactor authentication.

Configuring multifactor authentication

1. Change Your Password

If you have not already done so, please click the first link in your invitation email to change your password.

2. Login to ECHR Transfer

Navigate to the login page and enter your email address and password.

You will then be prompted to configure multifactor authentication. Retrieve one-time use code to setup multifactor authentication

3. Open a multifactor authentication application

Use a multifactor authentication application to finalize your account's configuration.

If you do not already have one, please open your device's app store and download a multifactor authentication application such as Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, etc.

4. Configure multifactor authentication

In the authentication application, create a new account and then submit the code from step 2:
  • If you are on desktop, simply scan the QR code.

  • If you are on mobile, enter the code manually.

5. Save your recovery code

  • Copy the recovery code displayed on the screen and store it safely.
  • This code will be used to log in if ever you do not have access to your device, or if you have changed your device.

6. Retrieve Your One-Time Password (OTP) on each login

On the authentication's main screen, you will see a list of configured accounts.

If a pop-up appears, please close it to proceed. Copy the one-time password displayed by the authentication app.

6. Log In to ECHR Transfer

Return to the login page and enter the one-time password from the authentication app.
You are now successfully logged in and may access the files shared with you, as well as upload files in response.
